Chrome Consulting was contracted by a leading global mining and chemical manufacturer to form part of their global transformation to more than 10 countries.
Taking over three years to implement, incorporates multiple languages and country-specific legislative requirements impacting more than 3,290 documented business processes.
Worker safety was the top priority for the customer; one of the ways it is improving safety is by ensuring the latest and correct documentation, including procedures and instructions, is easily accessible to maintenance crews.
Objectives & Scope
Project Requirements
- Automation of work order printing to ensure the safety of staff, repeatability and reduced overheads in delivering work orders in complex environments. - Scalability to deliver a solution across multiple countries and more than 10,000 users without performance issues.
- Integration with the core line of business systems including both SAP S4 and SuccessFactors
- The ability to deliver a world-class invoice processing solution across multiple countries.
Our Approach
The project was run largely from Australia despite being based in Singapore and travel was confined to areas to reduce overheads.
Chrome Consulting developed a global template in consultation with customer SME’s. These were presented back to the key global stakeholders where input was evaluated and adjustments made to ensure the design was fit for purpose.
Chrome Consulting worked in tandem with the incumbent system integrator and the customer to ensure that the content management solution was delivered in line with the ERP transformation solution.
Outcome
A global implementation delivered on time and on budget
The customer solution was delivered in line with project timelines and within the project budget despite being an APAC first for XECM integration into SuccessFactors.
All phases of the delivery globally were completed without complication or delays despite expected project pressure and the exceptional global circumstances 2020 imposed on all organisations with the pandemic.
Following go-live, Chrome Consulting has provided ongoing support to the customer to ensure high quality of system performance and effective outcomes for the customer.
